Sinhala & Hindu New Year Celebrations- Sahanaya Resource Centre, Gorakana

Parents, Well-wishes and Staff members a, Clients and Neighbours
convened to celebrate the Sinhala Aluth Avurudha on the Grounds at
Shanaya Gorakana on Sunday the 18th of April from 9.30 to 1.30. The
day was filled with fun and activities and the observances of certain
rituals like the lighting of the lamp and the boiling of milk. Some of
the activities included Singing of Folk Songs, Bun Eating Competition
and Lime and Spoon Race, Drawing the Eye on the Elephant and Musical
