Mrs.Jayakoddy serves the Skills Development and Rehabilitation Division of the resource centre and she counts over 7 years experience in dealing with people with prolonged mental illness and implementing the rehabilitation programme.
She has participated in a number of workshops and enhanced her knowledge and training in different aspects of mental health during the period. The workshops in which she has participated are:-
•Two weeks workshop in Israel on Crisis Intervention in the Community conducted by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
•Workshop on National Psychosocial Rehabilitation conducted by the Institute of Psychiatry, Angoda in collaboration with the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
•Inaugural workshop to enhance Skills of Teachers of Children with disabilities.
She has followed an advanced course in art therapy and Master Trainer Programme in Mental Health/ Psychosocial Care under the child and family resilience programme conducted by an Israeli team of Psychologists and Psychiatrists. She has also followed a course in First Aid conducted by St. Johns Ambulance Brigade.
