Sahanaya Lakeside Residencies is a community based service established in May 2008 at Gorakana,
Panadura. It is located in a peaceful and tranquil environment, overlooking the Bolgoda Lake.
The residential facility (Sahanaya Lakeside Residencies) for rehabilitation of persons s
uffering from mental illness, is located at No.115/2, Galkanuwa Road, Gorakana. Panadura, is managed and operated by Richmond Fellowship Lanka, a Non Governmental non profit oriented service organization, registered in Sri Lanka, with whom the National Council for mental Health- Sahanya has entered into a Memorandum of understanding.
This is also a skills development arm of the Sahanaya Resource Centre. It comprises of residential facilities for long-term mentally ill and a day centre for long term mentally ill patients.

To assist individuals suffering from serious mental illnesses, achieve the earliest most successful community reintegration at the most independent level through comprehensive assessment, consultation, treatment and rehabilitation
Our Services :-
Currently there is an individually tailored residential life skills development programme in operation for the long-term mentally affected individuals
especially for those who are suffering from schizophrenia to improve their daily living skills.
Day care facilities for mentally affected individuals
Respite care facilities for the individuals who are mentally affected and need a short term stay for a period of 1-6 months.

People with mental disabilities wanting to acquire special employment skills
Families and caregivers of mentally ill in enhancing their competencies in caring
